Like iTunes (I run it on a XP laptop so I can update the iPhone firmware) sorting lists of *.mpc files and putting the file names starting with non-alphabetic characters as I got it to recognize and charge my iPhone by 1 - Choose to choose a driver myself2 - Choosing the Other Devices category3 - Acer in the brand list4 - Apple mobile device service stays "starting" forever by setupapi.dll's bug.Well, iTunes opens up correctly and everything works perfectly, except for syncing up my iphone. Hopefully this is clear enough.
My iphone is a 3G version 3.1.2 already jailbroken with OpenSSH installed.

I still use the Win2000 because of its fast and virtually virus-free and worry-free nature. Yea I pluged it in and it says "new device found, iPhone" but it looks for drivers and finds none, and the phone never goes into charge mode. So far I've gotten iTunes 10.3.1 installed, but ran into a few issues during the installment process... I've been using windows 2k for 4 years on my Thinkpad T61 and it runs like a champ with no hiccups, super stable! http://connectwithcanopy.com/device-driver/device-driver-not-installed-iphone.php It's up to you to get all the right drivers.Bob Flag Permalink This was helpful (0) Collapse - Dreams....
